    Target Audience
    This activity has been designed to meet the educational needs of cardiologists and other physicians, clinicians, and heath care providers involved in the treatment of patients with lipid disorders and cardiovascular disease.
     
    Program Overview
    In this activity, a comprehensive evaluation of the scientific data regarding the specific role and functionality of HDL and respective subspecies in the cardiovascular disease process will be detailed and summarized. The slide library and speaker notes will impart novel insights into the involvement of HDL and identify possible areas for future research related to the functionality and impact of these HDL subpopulations and their respective cardioprotective or atherogenic properties.

    This activity consists of a brief video overview and didactic slides that provide a comprehensive evaluation of the scientific data regarding HDL functionality and the role of HDL in disease processes. Slides with notes will be accessible as printable PDFs to further learning.

    Method of Participation
    There are no fees for participating in and receiving CME credit for this activity. During the period September 2012 through September 2013, participants must 1) read the learning objectives and faculty disclosures, 2) study the educational activity, 3) complete the posttest, and 4) complete the evaluation form.
     
    A statement of credit will be issued only upon electronic submission of a completed activity evaluation form and a completed posttest with a score of 70% or better. Statements of credit should be printed online upon completion via the NLA website.
